Dr. Sabina Grant-Spencer serves on the National Pan Hellenic Council (NPHC) of Harrisburg, where she represents the Harrisburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. This organization has served the Harrisburg community for over 30 years, with Dr. Grant-Spencer’s contributions helping Harrisburg since 2019.

The Council is composed of the nine African American Greek letter organizations, also known as the Divine Nine. The national motto, “united in purpose, driven by service,” perfectly describes the Harrisburg NPHC. They engage in community service by volunteering at Camp Curtain YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg, local school districts, and churches, as well as donating to various organizations like Toys for Tots. The overall goal, even in these trying times, is to be present, show the youth a different way of life, and advocate for social justice.

Dr. Grant-Spencer feels that the most rewarding part of being in the NPHC is having the opportunity to be an active participant in community initiatives through volunteerism and providing resources to different stakeholders in the Harrisburg community. She plans to continue in her great work through the NPHC by being present, volunteering, hosting events, and providing resources.
