SRCD highlights accomplishments of the Ethnic and Racial Issues Committee during Dawn Witherspoon's tenure as Chair
Originally founded as the Minority Committee in 1984, the Ethnic and Racial Issues Committee focuses on increasing diversity in developmental science and SRCD through programmatic initiatives and acts as a liaison for internal groups interested in research pertaining to racial-ethnic minorities.

On June 17, 2017, representatives from PACT attended the 60th Big 33 Football Classic Event at Landis Field in Harrisburg, PA. Known as the Superbowl of high school football, all-star players from Pennsylvania and Maryland participated. The event provided a great opportunity to highlight PACT to a large population of people from both within and outside of Pennsylvania.
