Biography:

 

Briah Glover is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in Developmental Psychology at Penn State University. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Howard University and Master's of Science from Penn State. Her work revolves around facilitating inclusive, community-engaged research to promote positive outcomes in Black Americans. Briah currently focuses on the contextual effects (i.e., parenting and neighborhood) on Black American youth’s emotional development. More specifically, she is interested in how cultural parenting relates to the self-beliefs of Black youth, their emotion-focused coping, and variations by community and neighborhood context.
