Biography:
Dr. Laura Bray’s work is focused on examining issues of practice and policy pertaining to children with disabilities and their families. Her work aims to understand and attend to complex issues, which demand insights into the interconnectedness of the actions, beliefs, and artifacts of different stakeholders. Specifically, she is focused on understanding how to better support families of children with disabilities, as well as improving their interactions with schools and medical institutions. Her goal is to utilize community-based participatory research to design interventions that enhance families’ engagement with institutions that result in improved outcomes for both the child and the entire family.
