Sandy serves as a bilingual project coordinator for Penn State University’s TIES/ENLACES and PACT. She utilizes her experiences and background in education, community/family engagement and family advocacy on a national and local level coordinating a variety of programs and state college initiatives. Sandy has coordinated state and national conferences involving family/community engagement. She has also provided training and technical assistance to school districts across Pennsylvania. Her past experience includes extensive work in community building and grassroots initiatives as well as working with Temple and Pennsylvania State Universities as a research coordinator for several research projects supported through National Institutes of Health. Sandy holds an Associate Degree in Corporate Communications from Elizabethtown College. Sandy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, crafting and vacationing at the beach.
